Disabled person - leave home and join community
When people with mental disability grow up, they want to own their own lives, to make friends like everybody else, to enjoy activities, to be financially independent, to be respected by others. According to statistics, in Taiwan, more than 92% of people with disabilities live in the communities. After graduating from schools, if they do not have job opportunities or receive other services, they can only stay at home and gradually lose touch with society. In northern and southern metropolitan areas and rural areas of Taiwan, Syin-Lu provides day and night community support to people with disabilities of young to old. Syin-Lu supports them to live independently in their familiar communities, growing old without worries.
Caregiver - let go without worries and retake life
When serving people with disabilities, we also need to take care of the entire family. Syin-Lu provides family supports to the caregivers through social groups and learning courses focusing on strength building, stress relief, emotional support etc. Syin-Lu also help forming family support organization, at the same time, provide beneficiary counseling and supervising. Accompany caregivers to replenish energies, feels the up and down in life, and regain their own beautiful lives.
