Volunteering

  To learn more about who we are and what we do, you can sign up one of the following group activities:
  • Volunteering
  • Sheltered factory/workshop tour
  • I'm Not Different! VR experience (VR experience is in Chinese only)
  • The Journey board game (board game is in Chinese only)

Who can participate?

Individual 16-years-old and above who is passionate at helping others, willing to learn, and respect the differences.

Syin-Lu also welcomes volunteers with expertise, such as nursing/medical, music, special education, knowledge in electricity and water repair, acting, computer skills, gardening…etc.

What are the tasks?

Direct service
  • Helping individual eat lunch
  • Helping individual in learning and social activities
  • Helping individual use facility equipment
  • Helping individual use public park playground equipment
  • Home-visiting volunteer
  • Winter vacation / summer vacation volunteer
Indirect service
  • Cleaning environment, sanitizing and wall painting
  • Administrative tasks
  • Helping sheltered employees in folding boxes and packaging
  • Supporting weekend charity sales and events
